Do I need a referral to see you?

 

You do not need a referral to see me, BUT to claim a rebate through Medicare, you will need a referral from your GP or specialist Doctor.

 

How much do you charge for a session?

 

Fees for a 50 minute consultation are $255, payable in full on the day of consultation.  

 

Payments are processed on the day of your appointment using an online payment system using a provided credit card. A secure and encrypted system is used to store all credit card details.

 

Can I claim a rebate on your fees?

 

Yes, but……

 

To be eligible to claim a Medicare rebate of $141.85, you need to provide a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or treating Medical professional.

A  referral is valid for 12 months from the date of issue for the number of sessions specified in your Plan.   You do not have to obtain a new plan from 1 January, you are able to utilise the unused balance of sessions specified in your plan  within 12 months of the issue date of the referral.  However, you are limited to claiming 10 sessions IN ANY GIVEN calendar year under Medicare.

If you hold private medical insurance, you may be able to make a claim for additional sessions above the number specified in your Mental Health Treatment Plan.  You will need to check this directly with your insurer.

Please note I am not registered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) or the Victorian WorkCover authority.  If you wish to claim fees through 

the NDIS or the Victorian WorkCover Authority, please contact these authorities directly to obtain information about rebates and reimbursements.  NDIS or WorkCover claims are not eligible for medicare rebates.

Can I see you via telehealth?

​

Yes you can.  All telehealth sessions are conducted via Healthdirect, a secure and encrypted video call platform.

​

What happens if I cancel my appointment?

​

In fairness to others waiting to see me, if you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, 24 hour notice is required to cancel any appointment. 

​

If you do not provide 24 hour notice, I may charge a cancellation fee. Payment of any cancellation fee may be required prior to booking a subsequent appointment.
